Welcome to Year 3

 

Your Year 3 Class Team :  

Miss Lowe (class teacher) , Miss Lawler (TA) and Miss Logan (TA)

 

Please keep an eye on our class page throughout the year. You will find useful information about PE days, homework, upcoming events and achievements of the class. 

 

Homework expectations for Year 3:

Reading- reading books should be read at home daily (20 is plenty) and diaries signed. Children receive 5 dojos each morning for their signed diaries and raffle tickets each Friday based on engagement at home.


Spelling- spelling books are updated each Monday with new spellings to practice. Please encourage children to practice 3 times each week with the 'look, say, cover, write, check' method (see front of spelling book). Children receive 5 dojos each week if all 3 practices are complete. 


Times tables- times tables books are updated each week based on what times table your child is learning in school. Please complete the top 3 practice boxes each week. Children will receive 5 dojos if complete. 

 

Our PE days:

Monday and Friday.

(please remember to wear full PE kit on these days and remove all earrings before you come to school)

Reading at home is vital for your child's development, helping to improve their vocabulary, comprehension and love for learning.

Take time to listen to your child read, offering encouragement and guidance to build their confidence.
